Base camp at An Khe consisted of tents and sand-bag bunkers in 1965
Everybody took turns pulling guard duty on the perimeter at An Khe
Two-man hooches of sand-bags and ponchos were the living quarters
Patrols were sent out regularly to the Happy Valley
The South China Sea and Vung Tau were In-country R&R destinations
